OCTAGON RESEARCH SOLUTIONS NAMES THOMAS S. GUINTER VICE PRESIDENT OF CLINICAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - May 11, 2004 - Octagon Research Solutions, a leading provider of regulatory, clinical information management, process and information technology products and services to the life sciences industry, announced today the appointment of Thomas S. Guinter as vice president of Clinical Information Management.
Mr. Guinter will be responsible for the development, expansion and execution of Octagon’s clinical information management services including all data management, medical writing and statistical programming offerings. He will also guide the organization in their continued involvement and active participation in CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) and HL7 RCRIM (Health Level 7 - Regulated Clinical Research Information Management) standardization initiatives.

An active member of CDISC and HL7, Mr. Guinter brings more than 7 years of clinical information management experience to Octagon.
He was most recently a senior manager of Electronic Submissions at Sanofi-Synthelabo Research, where he was responsible for the clinical data portion of regulatory submissions, developing supporting standards and processes as well as strategies for improving these processes.
