OCTAGON RESEARCH SOLUTIONS LAUNCHES VIEWPOINT® PROCESS MANAGEMENT TOOL
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - December 16, 2003 - Octagon Research Solutions, a leading provider of regulatory, clinical information management, process and information technology products and services to the life sciences industry, announced today the launch of its ViewPoint process management tool. ViewPoint is the first of Octagon’s suite of VantagePoint branded solutions and products designed to support the complex electronic regulatory submission development process, including CTD and eCTD. Other VantagePoint branded products and services will roll out in 2004.
ViewPoint allows project managers to monitor and control every aspect of complex submissions through automated workflow management, unobtrusive metric collection, scenario modeling, issue tracking and flexible task assignment (patent pending). Industry-specific business logic is incorporated into templates that include predefined workflows and submission structures.

In addition, the program provides project managers with a standard to measure the speed at which components of the submission are completed by including a set of assumed metrics that incorporate best practices unique to the submission development process.
