OCTAGON RESEARCH SOLUTIONS NAMES MICHAEL PINTO VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - April 5, 2004 - Octagon Research Solutions, a leading provider of regulatory, clinical information management, process and information technology products and services to the life sciences industry, announced today the appointment of Michael C. Pinto as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Pinto will direct the global sales effort for Octagon’s suite of creative technology products and services designed to support the complex electronic regulatory submission development process.

Mr. Pinto brings with him over 14 years of business development and software sales experience within the Life Sciences and related industries. A proven leader with demonstrable expertise growing both entrepreneurial and Fortune 100 businesses, most recently he was Vice President of Strategic Sales at I-MANY Inc., a market leading solution software company within the Life Sciences industry, which grew from $14MM to $40MM during his tenure.

He has developed and directed multiple sales organizations focused on value-based selling and successfully launching complex solution offerings. His roles have also included Vice President, General Manager of the Life Sciences division in which over 40% growth was achieved during distressed mark conditions.

Mr. Pinto received his Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
