OCTAGON RESEARCH SOLUTIONS, INC., ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF PAUL DOUCETTE AS SENIOR DIRECTOR, CLINICAL PROGRAMMING AND STATISTICS

Wayne, PA. (November 30, 2006)– CEO & Chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc., a pioneer and leader in the electronic transformation of clinical R&D in the life sciences industry, today announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Doucette as Senior Director, Clinical Programming and Statistics.  In his new role, Mr. Doucette will provide strategy and leadership for programming and statistics functions, and facilitate effective integration of programming and statistics functions with other departments.  In addition, as part of the Clinical Data Operations (CDO) management team, Mr. Doucette will participate in the development and implementation of an overall CDO strategy.

Mr. Doucette brings extensive biostatistics experience from his work as a consultant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and as a mid-level manager for a major pharmaceutical company and a large clinical research organization.  As a consultant for BusinessEdge Solutions, Inc. and First Consulting Group, Inc., Mr. Doucette held a variety of technical positions for projects ranging from clinical (SAS) programming for pharmaceutical clients to business analyst for multiple projects in support of clinical data management, and analysis and reporting (Biostatistics).  Mr. Doucette also served as Assistant Director, Metadata Solutions at GlaxoSmithKline where he lead a global group of analysts and technical staff in supporting metadata management solutions for clinical data management, analysis and reporting.  As Manager of Biostatistical Programming for PAREXEL International in their Philadelphia, PA office, Mr. Doucette was responsible for all clinical programming activities in support of client (NDA and ISS/ISE) submissions.
