This webinar will be held on March 25, at 10:00 a.m. EDT and will be co-presented by Octagon’s clinical data experts Dave Evans, chief information officer (CIO) and Barry Cohen, director, Clinical Data Strategies.
This Webinar will present methodologies and best practices for institutionalizing a data governance strategy within an organization. While the industry is shifting toward the implementation of regulatory compliant data standards, implementation is just the beginning of the process. In this Webinar, Mr. Evans will provide a broad sense of how the implementation of standards must be surrounded by a governance framework in order to ensure that the enterprise is adhering to the standards, maintaining the standards, integrating the system of standards and being held accountable for accurate use of the standards.
Mr. Evans has over 20 years of professional experience in clinical research. It is because of his extraordinary experience that he is recognized industry-wide as a leading technology visionary for developing and implementing complex process and system solutions. Mr. Evans was also the architect and developer of the first electronic submission to the FDA in 1985 and has been responsible for over 70 electronic submissions and complex clinical data warehouses. He is a frequent industry speaker and has led numerous industry committees and conferences.
Mr. Cohen has over 27 years of professional experience in clinical data strategies. He is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and is considered to be an expert in the field of clinical data strategies. Mr. Cohen has authored numerous bylines on the topics of data standardization and technology integration. He is also the co-founder and president of the Philadelphia Statistical Analysis System (SAS) User’s Group (PhilaSUG) as well as a founding member of the Delaware Valley Clinical Data Interchange Standard Consortium (CDISC) user’s group.
