Product Development Database Administrator

Currently, we are experiencing significant growth and are conducting a nationwide search in efforts to expand our Product Management Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development, the Product Development Database Administrator will be responsible for the following:
- Acts as senior technical expert for Oracle RDBMS within Product Development group.
- Responsible for the design, documentation, and maintenance of the ViewPoint database architecture
- Provides support, maintenance, and oversight of database servers and ViewPoint database implementations in both the development and production environments
- Consults on a shared basis to Corporate IT team to resolve acute database related production issues
- Works with developers to conduct Oracle RDBMS performance tuning and query optimization within the ViewPoint Application during the product development life cycle
- Works with Product Customer Support team to support client implementation process by developing recommendations on the configuration of client infrastructure to optimize ViewPoint performance
The successful candidate will have any combination of the following skills/experience: (not all are necessary, but strength in many would be ideal):
- BS degree in Computer Science or related degree
- Minimum of 5 years as an Oracle database administrator in either a development or production environment
- Ability to interact collaboratively with client application and infrastructure staff
- Good understanding of Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), process flow, and data models
- Foundational understanding of multi-tier architecture
- Foundational understanding of software development lifecycle
- Experience with web technologies a plus
- Strong (influential) oral and written presentation skills
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks across multiple projects
- Experience with implementing systems in a validated environment and familiar with 21 CFR Part 11 (desired not required)
